Why European Didn't Eat Rice
European national food is McDonald, just as the Americans. Even in the most remote places in Europe, you can surely find your favourite burgers. Even Mc Pig ! But I never tasted that.
Germans favourite food is the Bratwurst (long sausage, cruncy skin) This is large hotdog, complete with German brown bread and added with mustard. But I always have trouble eating it as it is sooo long, not used to eating things sooo long... And of course, the German favourite drinks are beer, vodka, tequila, rum, anything alcohol. Plus, it is relatively cheaper here, so everyone can get drunk fast anytime and anywhere! The Germans know how to enjoy life. They have town festival all year around, to celebrate Christmas, spring and summer, but I always think this is all just for a reason: to drink!
Then, the Italians. They make nice pizzas and tasty spagetti. I think Pizza Hut bluff us! Much softer crust and more toppings. But one thing about Italian is that normal coffee is espresso. I ordered coffee few times but what they gave me was espresso. What the hell.. small, just one gulp, and bitter. I put alot of sugar until it became coffee again.. And then, there was the Greek coffee. Taste like Kopi O but with a lot of coffee leftover still under the glass, and a bit salty, maybe because too near to the sea? Ha... They also drink tea, just like the Turkish. A whole lot of variety, apple, orange, peppermint tea. I tasted the orange tea in a cute small glass and smells more like sweet-orange-water than tea, but definately very cheap.
The Turkish also introduced doner to Europe. It is what we called kebap in Malaysia, but in Germany, the doner is big. I mean really big, bigger than the original ones in Turkey. So bravo to the girls that can eat it all alone! With meat (all halal), onion, tomato, cucumber, and raw sour cheese, this is better than McD! The Greek type is much smaller and rolled up, but added with french fries and the bread is like "roti pita", called Souvlaki.
